Happens to the best of us.

The red bits were originally colored by hand, but since I haven’t figured out how to make the blacks richer without losing color, I’m somewhat at a loss. I ended up re-coloring the bits in PS. 😛 Tacky?

On another note, I’m certain most, if not all of you have already discovered ROBO-UNICORN-ATTACK. I didn’t give it much thought until last week… But MY SWEET MERCY, it’s addictive and shiny!

It’s got me mesmerized since; crashing into walls and dancing with crystalized dolphins to the eternal loop of Erasure. @_@

Hi hi! Well, it’s been awhile, hasn’t it? I’ve been so out of the loop ever since Knives got buggy… Even more so after I accidentally comicked up a hellstorm due to a gross misunderstanding on New Slang contribution guidelines 😛 I won’t bore you with the details since, well… It’s quite embarrassing. (Although a precious few of you know what I speak of. hehehe.) But needless to say that in due time, I’ll be uploading a CRAPLOAD of pages, starring one Ria Redulla and her Heavy Metal past.

In the mean time, I tried to get back into the groove with some doodles. It was quite difficult actually.

And a little starter before this clip comic; I recently invested on a dress form 🙂 No, I won’t be going into dressmaking, but I will be opening up an online shop to sell clothes under consignment (i.e. as a fund raiser and not personal gain). ANYway, I found a great price for a fairly new dress form online and ordered it!

This little episode happened while I was carrying it to the baggage counter:

Regrettably, I messed up Mikey’s face at the punchline; I forgot to draw in the cheeks!

I actually drew and inked these last Monday, (in a Burger King, no less!)

Oh yes, before anything, disclaimer alert:

Since Knives, my laptop got buggy and went to the shop, I haven’t been able to properly clean up my CerealSat work. Normally, “cleaning up” wouldn’t be that big a deal, since cropping was all I ever needed to do back in the day. However, now that I’m using other scanners (belonging to my mom’s office and Giz), I unfortunately don’t know how to automatically get the contrast level I’m used to… Thus all the gray and dullness. Ugh. I know, it’s horrid; I apologize for all the gray and all the dullness.

Three pages done in one night… Not bad, if I do say so myself. Tiny disclaimer though (as always): I was pretty zonked by the time I was inking in the narrative so I apologize for the misplaced commas and general choppiness of it all. Enjoy!

Bet a few of you are trying to remember if you got hugs from me eh? 😉 Bet you can’t remember. I’m sneaky itchy ninja.

On another note, a few of you might have caught the premature release of “Playing the Game” yesterday, and you might be wondering why I took it down. Well actually, it’s my contribution to New Slang‘s February anthology of “Awkwardity”; after some thought (and coaxing from Alice :o) I figured I might as well let them have “first” publish. Well… almost first anyway. To those who haven’t read it, keep an eye out for it there! I spent a solid week of tearing hair follicles out just to get it done. In the mean time, stay tuned to CerealSat folks! Cheers!

Inbetween Days

Alright kids… just like the first panel in this set says, these hourlies were drawn and inked out the day right after I resigned from good ol’ Bates 141. (That was… around Feb 2 or something. @_@)

Now,some of you might be thinking: “ZOMG REG YOU QUIT??”, while a few of you are more of a “Pfft. Old news.” variety. I apologize for the loss of days here at cerealsat, but just like my last two entries screamed, I do NOT own a scanner. That said, updates might have to be more scheduled from now on, since I no longer have the luxury of a fast working, hi-res Canon scanner right at my desk. (/tear)

NOR do I have a steady income of moneyz…(/cry)

…or officemates to troop to Bugsy’s with at 7:00 PM. (/WAAAH)

I’m back. It’s been awhile, hasn’t it? My deepest apologies. *sad sad sad face*

Things have been incredibly topsy turvy as of late, and a lot has gone down. THAT, and I’ve been busy at work with pitches and deadlines zipping past like a death wish waiting to happen. It’s been a pretty nutso couple of days in the life.

On a lighter note, I promise I’ll make light of everything in due time and before we get to that, I thought I’d scan and share this comic… You see, last week, some spirit of consumerist zen and youthful limberness possessed me to sign up for yoga and pilates sessions at (the swanky) Bliss Yoga Center. It was TONS of fun (no sarcasm, I swearz) and I grabbed a lot of stories to comick from it- as I’m sure a few of you can imagine. “REG EXERTS PHYSICAL EFFORT” alone screams fun and play (in a sort of, you know.. self-centered kind of way.) This IS kind of an illustrated diary more than webcomic. Hopefully someday I’ll change that.

Anywho, without further ado:

This comic is actually a work in progress… “part II” will be uploaded as soon as I find another pocket of time to draw and ink it all out. Thanks folks!
